This Just In (054)

This Just In: Chippendale Arm Chairs.

Perfect Fit: Fantastic pair of chairs that would look just as good in a dining room as in a bedroom at the foot of your bed. Full on Palm Beach glam with these bad boys. Would you reupholster or leave as is? We're feeling the neutral fabric, but would look amazing in an F. Schumacher print.

How Much: $295 for the pair. Only at Clutter!! Come see us or call (912.354.7556) for details.

This Just In (053)

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Eighty-Three

Belle Meade's Grayson Espresso Bed is Hollywood glam, high drama, fancy shmancy stuff. Great piece if you want an over-the-top, regal look. Just don't overdo it. Everything mirrored gets a little...shiny?

Man Cave Monday 002.

Man Cave Monday 002.

Your home office is often your man's oasis. A place where he can connect with work, but also enjoy a comfortable, masculine environment.

Leather doesn't have to be the fabric of choice for a man cave, but it certainly does have a measure of masculine sophistication that makes your man's man cave pop. Loving the Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen (1st Dibs) and the Driade Hall Sofa.

The AERIN Mill Ceiling Light is a little bit of drama, but it's still toned down and the brassy gold gives it a rustic edge.

More design inspiration and ideas for your man are coming at you each and every Monday! #ManCaveMonday

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Eighty-Two

All caught up on 365 Days of Fab Furniture with West Elm's Panel-Tufted Leather Bed. I would love two of these in a child's room for some added sophistication. Such a great look, and a great price for a pair. West Elm can really do no wrong.

All March long, we're hunting down the best beds in the game as a part of our 365 Days of Fab Furniture adventure. February was all about storage, March has been about beds...what should we do in April?! Recommendations?!

Obsessions of the Week: 23MAR14 to 29MAR14

Progress at The New Althea Project.

Some of the things we're obsessed with this week:

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Eighty-One

Playing catch-up on One Kings Lane with the beautiful Alaric Bed. Vintage vibe that would really translate nicely into any space. Would love this in a midcentury ranch. Those casters are amazing!

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Eighty

Oh, sweet Marie (One Kings Lane). Classy and classic bed for a master or guest suite. Great piece of furniture.

The New Althea Project...Slowly But Surely

Been pretty busy this last week at the store so progress at The New Althea Project over the last week isn't as dramatic, but wanted to give you a small update on progress.

Benjamin Moore's Cumulus Cloud is going up in my office. It's my new go-to color. I didn't want the house to be too white-washed, and this off-white, trending gray color is right up our alley.

We're also slowly tearing out the kitchen cabinets. Excited for how the kitchen will look. Remember to stay the road when doing large remodel projects. It takes time...but good design is worth the effort and hassle. And sometimes it is a hassle...

Great ways to make remodeling less stressful are to hire professionals (contractors, designers, etc.), break up your projects into mini-projects so you have achievable goals each day or week, and have fun with it!

And sheetrock is up! Sorry for the fuzzy picture, but excited about the progress in here. Raising the roof is giving us tons of great space...this room looks massive! Bamboo ceilings are still going in and should have a great progress shot by next week!

This Just In (051)

This Just In: Primitive Table.

Perfect Fit: I like this guy as a desk in a small home office. He doesn't take up a whole lot of space, but does make a great rustic statement. Pair with a midcentury leather desk chair for a great blended look.

How Much: $395. Only at Clutter!! Come see us or call (912.354.7556) for details.

This Just In (050)

This Just In: Club Chair.

Perfect Fit: Great midcentury sofa from This Just In (049) has a matching club chair...which we love...but don't necessarily think need to go together. Style doesn't have to be matchy-matchy. Pair funky fabrics with neutral toned-down pieces for a great overall look. This bad boy would look great with a nice, low gray sofa. Some deep wood end tables or a marble coffee table to play off the whites in the fabric! Beautiful.

How Much: $249. Only at Clutter!! Come see us or call (912.354.7556) for details.

This Just In (049)

This Just In: Green+White Midcentury Sofa.

Perfect Fit: Go bold in the living room with this bad beast from a forgotten time. There's plenty of neutral furniture out there to pair with this guy and downplay the great fabric. If it's a little too much, call up our friend, Alison Seeger, for a little reupholstery/slipcover magic! Great piece.

How Much: $450. Only at Clutter!! Come see us or call (912.354.7556) for details.

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Seventy-Nine

Caterina, Caterina. Sounds like a Woody Allen film, but is just our excitement at the Caterina Canopy Bed from Horchow. Solid piece of furniture that can play Hollywood Regency high glamour, or vintage French sophistication depending on how you style it.

Great signature piece. I will be voting for this bed for March Bedroom Madness. I think. Updating my bracket accordingly!!

Dream Home of the Week: 416 East Bryan Street, Savannah, GA

Absolutely love this Downtown Savannah home. Beautifully remodeled with updates, but still maintains that historic charm. Listed on Trulia, this home is a must-see if you're looking to purchase downtown. #LiveSavannah

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Seventy-Eight

Oly's Marco Bed is already in the March Bedroom Madness competition, and now it's younger cousin, Morgan, joins the fun. Her distressed silver frame makes her unique, charming, glamorous, with a little whimsy thrown in on top.

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Seventy-Seven

Oh Modern History, we love your bed. This is a dream bed for our daughter's room. High class, high drama. Luxe!

How We'd Style...Mrs. Sandra Bullock's Home.

How We'd Style...Mrs. Bullock.

In our Get To Know series, we like to ask what celebrity interior designers would love to style. And we thought...hey...let's just pretend we got hired to style every celebrity in the world! Introducing, the first in our How We'd Style series...the incomparable Sandra Bullock.

From what we know of Sandy, we'd go with lots of natural woods and great midcentury pieces. She's sensible and Eames and crew are very sensible, timeless pieces. Leather furniture, sculptural pieces, and a retro-yet-current vibe.

Her bed would be her oasis from all the paparazzi/movie-star shenanigans, so we'd keep it calm and classic with a four-poster canopy. White sheets and bedding keep it cool and centered.

Then we'd bring in some great art with a vintage and masculine vibe...some Cedric Smith or Russ Noto...or both!

365 Days of Fab Furniture: Day Seventy-Six

Pottery Barn's Farmhouse Canopy Bed is a gorgeous piece of furniture. Like everything Pottery Barn, it is on the traditional end of the spectrum, but, also like all things PB, it is impeccably crafted and would be a timeless feature in a guest room or child's room.

Round Three of March Bedroom Madness is going to be a big competition. Lots of great beds in this round!

Man Cave Monday 001.

Man Cave Monday 001.

I never fully got behind Man Crush Monday. But I am behind the Man Cave Monday revolution that Clutter is about to start.

Your man needs his own space. He works hard...and don't get me wrong, so do you...but sometimes men need that extra pat-on-the-butt, good-game appreciation to keep them motivated. And a great way to show that appreciation is with his own room...the infamous Man Cave.

A man cave does not need to be a beer-fridge with a ratty old couch and framed jerseys on the wall. Au contraire. Give your man the style he deserves and keep it chic yet masculine with leather, brass, natural woods, hides.

Then bring in pops of color with art. Katherine Sandoz's "Nightswim" is killing it in the inaugural Man Cave Monday (#MCM).  The colors of her piece really pop against the deep sofa and dark wood coffee table from 1st Dibs.

Here's where you can find all of the pieces from this look! Happy Man Cave Monday, y'all!

Color Coded: The Emerald Isle.

HAPPY ST. PATS!

Go green this beautiful St. Patrick's Day! We are obsessed with a good emerald and because it exists in nature it is easy to tie in in most spaces and rooms. I love the idea of bringing in plants and lots of natural woods with a green color inspiration because it immediately feels like an outdoor-indoor vibe.

Throw in some brass and gold accessories for a fun play on nature, too. Gives it that Palm Beach Regency look that is all the rage. Faux bamboo pieces can also give a natural, yet chic look.

Here's where to find some green pieces and accessories for your home!
